About
Kendrick Hang is a software engineer and interaction designer with over ten years of experience in designing and developing instructional systems with a focus on web-based multimedia courseware, learning management systems, and most recently, aviation training systems. His latest work involves working with aviators and research psychologists to design and develop next-generation instructional systems, including a training scenario generation system, an after action review system with integrated human performance measurement, and a WPF control library of aeronautical maps/charts.
Kendrick’s approach to designing systems in complex domains is cross-disciplinary, integrating elements from cognitive systems engineering, agile software development, information architecture, and interaction design. The technology stack that Kendrick works with is a mix of .NET platform technologies (WPF/Silverlight MVVM, ASP.NET MVC) and open source tools (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Protocol Buffers, Prism). Kendrick holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and a Master of Software Engineering degree from the University of Maryland University College.
